Mastering Adobe Launch: A Step-by-Step Guide to Seamless Web and Mobile App Implementation
Steps to Follow for Launch Setup
Setting up Adobe Launch can be a straightforward process if you follow the correct steps. Whether you're implementing it on a web property or mobile app, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get started.
1. Create Web Property in Launch
The first step is to create a new web property in Adobe Launch. This will act as the container for your tags, rules, and other configurations.
2. Set Up Host
You will need to define the host (the server or domain) where your Launch property will be deployed.
3. Setup Environment
Set up your development, staging, and production environments. This ensures that you can test changes in a controlled environment before deploying them live.
4. Install Extension
Extensions are pre-built integrations for common platforms and services. Install the necessary extensions in your Launch property to work with the required data sources or analytics tools.
5. Deploy the Script in Web/Mobile App
Next, deploy the Launch script on your website or mobile app. This script enables Launch to track user interactions and send data to analytics platforms.
6. Capture Data in Context Data & Map to Analytics Variables (For Mobile)
In mobile implementations, capture relevant data in context data and use processing rules to map this data to analytics variables.
7. Capture Data in Data Element & Map to Analytics Variables
For web apps, capture the data in a data element, and use this element’s value in your analytics variables.
8. Set Up Rules
Rules define the triggers for actions within Launch. Configure rules based on events or conditions you want to capture, such as page views, clicks, or form submissions.
9. Send Beacon
A beacon is a data packet sent from your site or app to the server. Set up beacons to send data to your analytics platforms or any other tools integrated with Launch.
10. Publish the Library
After testing and verifying all settings, publish the library to make your changes live on the website or app.
